David Britigan, 1938-1997
David Ryall Britigan, Sarasota, Florida passed away on August 7, 1997 at 58 years of age. Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 2, 1938, he was raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan and graduated from Western State High School, and the University of Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration. David was among a group of accomplished State High golfers mentored by KCC Golf professional, Walt Bieber. Dave continued playing golf at a high level through out his life. David enjoyed a career in commercial construction and he became a business owner in Sarasota after moving from Cleveland, Ohio in 1984. At the time of death, David was survived by his wife, Barbara McBride Britigan, mother Dorothy R. Britigan, Sarasota, brother Robert D. Britigan Jr. Gull Lake, Michigan, son's David R. Jr. Andrew and Stephen. Also surviving, David's first wife Christina Wood Miller. David was a member of the Bent Tree Country Club, Sarasota, Sarasota Board of Realtors, and the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. Services were held at the Bent Tree Country Club, August 10, 1997.
